Five Danish museum storage facilities form the backbone of Magasinmanualen.
The storage facilities featured in Magasinmanualen are all relatively new buildings. The main characteristic that they share is the construction of the best possible conditions for preserving the museum items that will be stored in them.
Facility 1: The Joint Storage Facility in Vejle
Facility 2: The Storage Facility in Ribe
Facility 3: The Joint Storage Facility for museums in middle and East Jutland
Facility 4: Storage Facility B-9-1-2, The National Museum
Facility 5: Storage Facility M2, Statens Museum for Kunst, the Danish national gallery
The intention is that a storage facility for a natural history museum will join the other five facilities later.
The information about each of the five facilities is presented in the same way to as great a degree as possible. There are, however, variations, because the facilities have been set up in different ways, and each is run independently. |
